Wayne Fenior has been shooting seriously since age 14. “While I received my first camera from my Grandmother for Christmas at age 8, my love for the art really took hold with a class in junior high school,” Fenior states. His first published photograph was in the local newspaper: The St. Clair Shores Michigan City Herald at age 15.
Career and accomplishments
While most of his time was spent in the printing industry (a jumping stone for a lot of photographers), specifically with Magazines and catalogs; development of digital workflow's was a specialty during the 90's digital revolution.
In 2001 with a move to Central Florida, Wayne began to pursue earlier photography career goals. “Digital photography was becoming more prevalent and there was a loss of foundational core skills with new people coming into the industry at an unprecedented pace,” Fenior states. “Combining new digital technologies as they relate to the photographic medium along with the foundational skills of strong composition and lighting theory allow the potential to create something unique, marvelous and beautiful with every assignment.” Illuminare Studios Photography was launched in 2005, and we now have studio partners that allow us to set up our tripods, lights and cameras globally. With the ability to shoot medium and large format in digital as well as film, quality is unparalleled.
From over thirty magazine covers, fashion shoots with beautiful models, to even shooting underwater, there is no assignment that Wayne Fenior cannot shoot with exceeding excellence and taste. Ties with various media entities have led to contributions of content from lifestyle articles, and even to technical scuba projects.
